For whatever reason, Knopf decided to name this book “Limited Edition”, They already had an Eragon Deluxe Edition, the name Eldest Deluxe Edition would have been the obvious choice, but apparently not. Knopf would go on to name their bonus content Brisingr and Inheritance editions “Deluxe”.

This Limited Edition includes an excerpt from Brisingr, a poster of Glaedr (which would become the cover art for Brisingr), the history of Alagaesia, art by Christopher Paolini, and a list of characters, places, objects, and dwarf clans. Unlike the Deluxe Edition, the Limited Edition has a dust cover sticker, the Deluxe Edition has the sticker printed into the dustcover.
